ReplyDeleteMy favorite way to eat potatoes:
Garlic mashed red potatoes. Ingredients: Baby red potatoes
1 minced garlic clove; Parsley; Oregano; Butter; Chicken broth; Milk.
In sep container, comb minced garlic clove, salt/ pepper, parsley, oregano.
Boil potatoes with skin on; Add butter/salt to water; boil until falls apart when pierced with fork. Mash potatoes leaving skin on until crumbly; add butter mash until smooth; add milk, chicken broth (a little) and seasoning mixture.
My favorite dish using irish potatoes is potato salad.First you dice some irish potatoes in med size cubes and cook in boiling salted water. Discard water from potatoes then add butter, chopped boiled eggs, tin mixed vegetables, mayonnaise, and a dash of adobo seasoning. Mix all ingredients and then you're left with the most delicious Jamaican Style Potato Salad.
ReplyDeleteI don't like potato dishes that much but if i do have to eat it i guess I'll take it in the simplest form; baked with a little butter on top

Usually, men from my native country refrain from cooking, which is reserved almost exclusively for women. So, I have no skills in this field. However, I have a passion for good meals in general and , in particular, all potato dishes. In fact, since my childhood, I have been developing a great interest for different potato preparation, from potatoes chips, flour made from potatoes, to the ones cooked and mixed with chicken sauce that my mother prepared most often on Sundays, a very special day of the week in Haiti. Now that I am living in New York, I have learned to enjoy other recipes from this famous tuberous crop like mashed potatoes, which represents a real delight for my palate.

ReplyDeleteI like my potatoes well baked with butter smothered in the middle with fried chicken, mac and cheese and a nice cold iced kool-aid on the side.
I grew up on potatoes in all its forms -- baked, mashed, and scalloped, and, all summer long, potato salad. It's almost impossible to choose which I like best, but since summer is coming I'll choose icebox-cold potato salad.
ReplyDeleteMy mother made the best potato salad I have ever tasted. I used to watch her prepare the salad, and cut the potatoes into perfect little cubes. Then she added hard-boiled eggs, scallions, celery, celery seed, celery salt, and mayonnaise. Whenever I think of summer, I think of her potato salad and her finger-licking-good fried chicken, with strawberry shortcake for dessert. Her secret for the potato salad is to allow the cut potatoes to soak overnight in Italian salad dressing. It adds more flavor to the potatoes.
I’ve leaned how to make potato salad, and everyone who eats my potato raves about how good it is. The truth is, I do not have the patience to cut the potatoes into small cubes like my mother did. Also, there’s just “something” missing from my salad. My friends cannot taste it, but I can. Nothing is as good as the salad my mother made.
I think I am allergic to potatoes, because every time I eat it I get a headache. The only time I can partake in potatoes, is if it came from McDonalds or other fast food chains.
ReplyDeleteI like mashed potatoes and French fries. I do not make either of the two so I try to order them when I go out to eat. I like a little bit of Tabasco Sauce on my mashed potatoes. I like how the spice and creaminess of the potatoes go together. I think that the best French fries are fresh, crispy ones. I do not like it when they are unpleasantly wet and soft.
ReplyDeleteHomemade, nothing out of the box or bag, Mashed potatoes and seasoned fries are the way to go for me. You can never go wrong when its cooked nice and fresh.

I like potatoes in all its forms. Roasted potatoes are probably my favorite. Another one I like is an Irish dish known as Scallion Champ or Scallion Mash. To make thIs you'll need,
ReplyDelete3 lbs large potatoes
1 to 1 1/2 cup of milk
4 ounces of scallions, chopped
1/4 to 1/2 cup of butter
salt and freshly ground white pepper
Scrub the potatoes an boil them in their skin. Drain off the water and return the potatoes to the pan. Cover with cold milk and bring slowly to a boil. Simmer for about 3-4 minutes, turn off heat and let infuse. Drain the potatoes, reserving the milk. Peel and mash the freshly boiled potatoes and, while hot, mix with the scallions and boiling hot milk, and beat in the butter. Season with salt and pepper.
My favorite potatoes are roasted potatoes and i love to eat them alone with ketchup. I dont know how to make them so i dont have a recipe, but my jobs makes them so i get to eat them sometimes. I also like mashed potatoes. Those are both my favorite potates.
ReplyDeleteI can eat potatoes in any way. I love potatoes. The way I prefer them is to have them them in a french fry form or mash. I can eat them in any part of my day for example, breakfast, I would eat them seasoned home fries, for lunch, I would eat a burger with cheese fries, then for dinner, I would eat a nice plate of garlic mash potatoes. I wish I was the cook but I'm the one waiting to get served.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite way to eat potatoes is mashed. i love mashed potatoes with butter and salt. The other way i love to eat them is in perogies. I love perogies especilly with American cheese in the middle. oh my god! its fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI like home fries. Seasoned and cooked with onions and peppers.
ReplyDeleteDefinatly mashed with a rich brown gravy. Add some onions, peppers and seasoning, and i'm in heaven.
